Born and raised in the Netherlands, I have worked in the IT industry for roughly 25 years. Today, I work as a Senior Consultant at Advania, where I help customers design and implement VMware by Broadcom solutions. My primary focus is on architecting VMware Cloud Foundation infrastructure, with an emphasis on creating resilient, manageable, and scalable private cloud platforms.

Over the years, much of my work has revolved around VMware NSX. Not just because of the technology itself, but because of what it enables at a broader level. NSX challenges the traditional boundaries between networking, infrastructure, security, and operations, and I have always found that intersection particularly interesting. That same intersection is also central to VMware Cloud Foundation, where compute, storage, networking, automation, and operations need to come together as a coherent platform. When those silos start to come down, new conversations happen — and that is often where meaningful change begins.

I live in the south of Sweden with my wife and our two children. Outside of work, I used to be a fairly dedicated photographer and had more hobbies than I could keep up with.

A few years ago, an acquired brain injury turned life upside down. Today, I am simply grateful to be alive and back on my feet again, even if that comes with some physical limitations. It has changed my perspective quite a bit, and I try to take each day as it comes, with a clearer understanding than ever that time and health are our most valuable assets.
